New class of Crime Scene Technicians certified and ready to get to work!

Fifteen students made their dream a reality on December 12, 2015, when they received their Crime Scene Technician certificate. They are now on their way to a new career in crime scene investigation. The Crime Scene Technician course is presented by Florida International University’s Legal Studies Institute, in partnership with the Investigative Development Studies of CORPSEC Group, and is taught by highly-credentialed law enforcement personnel who are experts in the field of investigations. This course exposes students to the intrigue and suspense of crime scene investigations.

If you have ever thought about being part of a crime-solving team, now is your chance! Get real-life experience and hands-on learning with actual case studies. You will utilize the techniques, tactics and procedures law enforcement officers use to investigate and solve general crimes.

Students learn how to document a crime scene, collecting and preserve physical evidence, perform critical investigative tests and photograph and sketch the crime scene.
