About the Instructor
Oliver John Langstadt was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, where he graduated High School in July 1977. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics from the University of Miami in May 1981 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami Law School in May 1985. From 1985 through 1988 he work in the Courthouse in Miami-Dade County as bailiff for various judges until he became the sole shareholder and founder of Oliver J. Langstadt, P.A., in 1989. From 1995 to 2005 he was a partner in Rodriguez, Langstadt & Aguero until he became a founding member and partner in Langstadt Pauly Chartered, where he remains to the present, specializing in Real Estate, Immigration Law, Contract, Family, Corporate, Mediation and Civil Law. Since 2006, he has served as Hearing Officer for the City of Coral Gables in matters relating to code enforcement citations issued by the city. Mr. Langstadt is a member of The Florida Bar, past member of the Caribbean Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association and American Bar Association. He has been a guest lecturer on several legal topics in University of Miami Law School and Florida International University Legal Studies Institute where he is presently an adjunct instructor in the paralegal program. Mr. Langstadt is also a regular presenter on live radio of a program called, “Your Legal Corner” in Kingston, Jamaica.
